News 14-06 Yesterday we had big success at a clubmatch in Utrecht. Zoran became “Beste male” and Conchita “Best of Breed”. She also won Group 5 and finally she became “Reserve best dog in show”! Pikas also went with Ine to a clubmatch in Doetinchem. He was “very promissing” and in the final 4^th Best puppy in show! Click here for all the showresults. 12-06 Yesterday we had to put our last Bernese Jill a sleep. You can find her at our other website www.hienderheuvelhistorie.nl so she will never be forgotten. 07-06 The puppies has left our house. Eight weeks have flown by. Ana Boa did a fantastic job. Ive, the only lady, lives now in Lobith. Inno lives in Schiedam, Iannick (Thorgal) in Zutphen and Idriss (Binkas) moved to Wetteren (Belgium). We wish the puppies a pleasant, healthy and happy life. Because the Podengo is much more known in Germany, this time we had some competition. Nevertheless Zoran (11 months) became “EuropaJugendsieger 2010” and Conchita (16 months) competing in Open Class became Best of Breed and also “Europasiegerin 2010”. Click here for the showresults. Yesterday Ana Boa gave birth to 4 beautiful puppies. All puppies have potential owners. 07-04 New showresults. Click here. 06-03 Just nine months old, Zoran wins his first CAC at the show in Groningen! 01-03 Success at the show in Rheinberg (Germany). Isabela went for her first show in puppyclass. She became a “Very Promissing”. Zoran (just 2 days nine months old and in Youthclass) and Conchita both got “Excellent”. They are now Rheinland Jugendsieger (in). Conchita was BOB. In the ring of honour she was selected with the 10 most beautifull young dogs! Organza was also BOB and got the title Rheinlandsiegerin. She needed still one point and now she is also a German Champion. 06-02 A new showresult. Conchita becomes “Best of Breed” at the International show in Eindhoven. 30-01 Organza becomes “Best of Breed” and was placed 5^th in Group 2 at the show in Rijssen. Zoran was “Very Promissing” and 5^th “Best puppy in show". Carmel was placed 4^th in Group 5! 20-12 At the age of 11 months Conchita becomes, for the 3^rd time in a row , “Best of Breed” and is therefore now Dutch Youth Champion! 12-12 Arantxa becomes “Best Bitch” in Brussel and wins the title “Belgian Winster 2009”. 26-11 Zoran, our little male, is very happy with the big girls. 16-11 We went to a show again yesterday. Zoran scored a “Very Promissing” and the judge was very enthusiastic. Conchita scored an Excellent and in the final she won the 3^rd price in Group 5. 8-11 Conchita went to the International show in Bleiswijk. Just 10 months old she scored an Excellent, Youth-CAC, CAC and BOB. 2-11 Zoran went to his very first show. In Babyclass he was qualified as “Very Promissing” and in the final he became 9^th best baby in show. 22-10 Ana Boa and Hero Ducan v.d. Hienderheuvel have been X-rayed for hips and elbows. They also had an echo for their heart. We are very happy to let you know that they both took the tests very well. Underneath the results: Ana Boa: HD-A, ED-free, DCM-free Ducan: HD-A/B, ED-free, DCM-free 10-10 We went to a small show in Sneek. After a long time we took Ana Boa with us again. Unfortunately she didn’t want the judge to touch her although almost everyone around there could hug with her….. She was qualified as “Very Good”. For Carmel it was her first show. The judge was impressed by her very open and lively character. She became a “Very Promissing”. Conchita got the “BOB” with an “Excellent”. 04-10 Conchita went to the show in Zwolle. Two days ago she became 9 months, so for the first time in Youthclass. She was qualified with “Excellent”, got a Youth-CAC, CAC and BOB. The judge called her “already a showgirl”. 30-09 The little boy has become a handsome man. Today, Hero Ducan van de Hienderheuvel is having his birthday. 17-09 No news about our Estrela’s or Podengo’s this time but news about Jill, our last Bernese. Today is her birthday. She became 11 years old! Jill, pictures taken at the age of 10 years and 10 months. 07-09 Yesterday our friends Wim and Hélène arrived from Portugal. They brought 2 new Podengo’s for us. One boy from 15 weeks old called Zoran do Vale do Juiz and a very little girl from 8 weeks old, Isabela do Vale do Juiz. We also have now two puppies moving next Friday to their new owners, brother of Zoran called Gaio and an Estrela male called Boas dos Montes Herminios. 30-08 Yesterday Conchita was at her first international show in Rotterdam. She did very well and was qualified as Very Promissing in Puppyclass. Ducan, son of Organza, was also there for his first show. Eleven months old and he became “Best of Breed”. We couldn’t wish for a better start! Conchita appears in Rotterdam. 22-08 Arantxa becomes “Best of Breed” in Mechelen (Belgium). Judged by the Portugese Mr. Manuel Borges. She now is also an International Champion. Click here for the showresults. 04-08 Last weekend at the show in Bremen, Organza became both days “Best of Breed”. Click here for the showresults. 13-07 Our new website is online. 12-06 Our two Podengo girls are 5 weeks with us now and they feel totally at home. They are funny to watch when they are playing. So completely different, very fast and energetic. Playing with sticks, leafs, grassblades and of course their toys. Even the big toys of the Estrela’s are being used! Both girls have different characters. Conchita is calm, loves to be hugged and a bit conservative. Carmel is quite busy, can’t sit still and is not impressed of anything. Fortunately they like each other very much and so are we (and our large dogs) happy that we took two of them at once. They still have an enormous respect for the bigger dogs. Conchita Carmel 06-06 The first showresult for our Podengo’s is a fact. Conchita went yesterday to her first show. Five months old, she performed in the Babies Class. Judge Mr. M. de Weijer was very optimistic about her and she was qualified as “Very Promissing”. Finally she became second best baby in show! 10-05 They are here. After a long time waiting, today we added two new Portuguese girls to our group. No Estrela’s this time. During our trips to Portugal we have met this lively, energetic, cheerful and robust breed. The new ladies belong to a very rare breed in the Netherlands, the Podengo Português Pequeno (wired hair). They are registered with the FCI since 1978. They are the only ones in the Dutch Pedigree Book. In Portugal the hunters use these dogs to chase rabbits and rats. There are six varieties. The Podengo Português Grande, the Medio and the Pequeno. All in smooth- and wired hair. The Pequeno’s height will be between 20 and 30 cm and his weight will be about 4 to 5 kilo. Our girls, Conchita do Vale do Juiz (Born 02-01-2009) and Carmel do Vale do Juiz (Born 23-02-2009) will be seen at shows, trained for agility and if possible we also will breed with them.
